The next big studio project has started and the main material use is to be concrete. I am in the pursuit of designing a wooden riverboat shop which 16 people will learn the craft of wooden riverboats and they will also be living above the shop in the same building. I will soon have some of my sketches and sketch models up on here.
The materials in which I think I will be using is wood/heavy timber and concrete.
I love the idea about the riverboats!! That is a sweet object to go with, especially for the location. My mom has a collapsable kayak that has a wood frame that all breaks down into a bag. That might be an interesting case study for you, looking at the way it is put together. Might integrate nicely into your building some how.
